About the role

A major challenge faced by online Publishers is how to efficiently and cost effectively produce and broadcast video across their websites.

Digiteka solves this problem by supplying editorial videos for every article page on a Publisher’s website(s), across all major content categories including: News, Entertainment, Sport, Technology, Fashion, Men’s & Women’s Lifestyle, Movies, Gaming & Travel.

This role involves managing Digiteka’s English language video catalogue to ensure it contains high volumes of relevant video across all categories and working directly with Publishers’ editorial teams to ensure the solution delivers the most relevant editorial video(s) for every article while respecting the editorial style of each Publisher.

Summary of job functions

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Digiteka’s video catalogue across all categories (News, Entertainment, Sports, Technology etc)
  • Daily updating & ongoing management of Digiteka’s video catalogue
  • Assessment and identification of content gaps within the catalogue
  • Account / relationship management with video producers and with Publisher editorial teams
  • Recommendations on the acquisition of new video content in response to Publisher demand
  • Daily moderation of the contextualized video player on Publisher websites

Minimum requirements

  • Native UK / English language
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in journalism or media
  • Knowledge of the digital video and mobile advertising industry
  • Strong interest in the UK News industry & media industry and it’s nuances
  • Experience of video production a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Start-up culture mentality, autonomy/self-sufficiency, detail oriented, people person, analytical spirit/mind, good tech culture, customer-oriented
  • Proactive and energetic
