Reveal – Fashion Intern

•    To keep the cupboard organized and tidy at all times, and to ensure clothes go back to the correct PR companies on time.
•    To check all prices on pages
•    To source hi res pictures when required
•    To assist in the preparation and styling of fashion shoots both model and still-life, as requested by the Deputy Fashion Editor
•    Come up with ideas for web stories, write them up and source pictures for the website
•    To assist the Associate Editor or Deputy Fashion Editor, if required, on shoots
•    To help make sure the department runs smoothly and to deal with PR calls in a polite and efficient way
•    To attend press launches and appointments with PRs to view collections from high street retailers when requested, and to provide reports back to the team
•    Assist with clothes call-ins for reader makeovers, and general shoots with the Picture Desk. To raise Reveal’s profile within the fashion industry.
•    Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and PR contacts.
•    Upload appropriate content on to Facebook and Twitter
•    To answer fashion related reader emails, letters and telephone calls and respond accordingly.
•    To be aware of the readership and brand values of Reveal.
•    To liaise with PRs, on a daily basis, and maintain good working relationships with them. If required, to make PR appointments and store appointments, ensuring that Reveal has the best samples to feature on the pages.
•    To scour IDS and other picture library sites for the best most newsy shots which will keep us one step ahead of the competitors on fashion news stories.
•    To use initiative in setting up systems to keep the department and the returns system running smoothly, and to direct the work experience students to ensure this happens.
•    To research, style and direct your own shoots to an extremely high standard, whether with models, celebrities, or readers.
•    To complete returns in and efficient and prompt manner.
•    To initiate suggestions for all pages within the fashion and beauty section.
•    To file the photographs, look books and press releases from press days in a comprehensive system
•    To compile copy quickly and meet deadlines
•    To compile fashion news features if required for the magazine
•    To use initiative on what needs to be done in the department at any given time
•    Web experience and familiar with CMS, and SEO
•    To prioritise by being aware of deadlines.
•    To collate stockists for the department
•    To be versatile – and available for weekend and evening shoots, should they occur.
•    Interviews designers or celebrities on their collections for news stories when required
•    To suggest celebrities to feature in fashion shoots or news stories – with an eye out for who’s next.
•    To assist with the compilation of specials or supplements.
•    Go through daily papers to look for potential stories for morning conference
•    You will be required to undertake this commercial editorial work as and when requested by the Company
