Location: London

Closing date: Ongoing

Dynamic Editorial Assistant required to assist in the production of our range of products – a syndicated and multi-platform video global sports news service, the world’s only daily syndicated sports news show and an audio service providing bulletins and sports news across the world.

You will be already working in journalism or just graduated from university with a journalism or broadcasting degree, and be prepared to assist in all aspects of content production. You must have experience in scripting and cutting packages. This is a daily sports news service producing content in various forms to tight deadlines. Flexibility will be required as it will be necessary to work some unsocial hours in a rotating shift pattern.

You will be based in our Feltham so it is essential, due to the nature of the hours, that you can arrange your journey to and from work outside of public transport hours.

To assist the various production teams and take responsibility for your news stories being delivered to an editorially high standard:

• To make judgements and selections appropriate to programme service requirements
• To operate Avid, Adobe Premiere and Dalet edit suites to broadcast standard.
• To manage the delivery of multi-format programme files when required and develop an understanding of the equipment needed to deal with this efficiently
• To manage Omnisport’s video archive, using editorial judgement as to what material will be useful across the products in the future
• To manage and maintain Omnisport’s Audio newswire service, producing broadcast quality audio and scripting concise high-quality scripts for Premier League bulletins.
• To take every opportunity to learn from the team and be able to step up to assistant producer in the future
